Elidor; a fifteen year old golden dragon with a silver underbelly and wing membrane, was walking down a corridor in his castle home, his tail batting against his blues jeans while his trident-like tail tip scraped the ground. His blue frills slid back between his curved green horns ending right before his light yellow shirt, the lightning pattern on it a small hint to his electric ability.
His blue eyes were filled with a deep excitement as he made his way through the castle to the dining room, where he was sure his friends would be since it was lunch time.
When he reached the dining room he found his friends Mohan and Raedon Mohan was an orange Tigrolite with black stripes and green eyes wearing black pants and a white shirt. Raedon was a winged unicorn with a large blue mane and yellow eye. He was wearing baggy blue pants and a loose blue shirt.
“Hey Elidor, we’ve been waiting for you.” Raedon grinned, waving him over.
Elidor hurried over to their table. “Guys, the potion room is unlocked.” He gasped when he reached them.
The two gasped, shocked. The potion room had been the only room in the entire castle Elidor and his friends had never been in since it was always locked.
  “You’re kidding, right?”
Elidor jumped. He had been so focused on Mohan and Raedon’s shocked expressions that he hadn’t noticed Shakira come up behind him. He turned around to face her and, like always, was caught off guard by her beauty. She was a silver dragoness with blue wing membrane and green frills. She was wearing a light blue dress that really brought out her green eyes.
“Is it really unlocked?” Raedon asked, bringing Elidor back to focus.
“Yeah; I was just there, so I tried the door and it opened.” Elidor explained. “After that I came to find you guys.”
“Well then what are we doing here still?” Mohan grinned, standing up. “That door won’t stay open forever.”
“He’s right.” Elidor agreed. “Let’s get moving.”
Elidor led his friends through the corridors until they reached a small wooden door with a sign above it that said ‘potions’. Elidor reached out and gripped the door knob. He twisted it and pushed the door open. He stepped inside and looked around. The floor was a gray stone tiling and the walls were buried behind large shelves filled with potions.
“I was expecting something a little more magical looking.” Mohan grumbled, following Elidor into the room. “This just looks like a storage room.”
Shakira came in just behind Raedon, rolling her eyes. “That’s because it is a storage room.”
“Close the door in case someone comes by.” Elidor said when they were all in.
“Good idea.” Shakira nodded closing the door. “Just be sure not to touch anything. We don’t want to break anything.”
“Don’t do what?” Elidor asked already holding a small vial with a blue liquid in it.
“Put that down!” Shakira’s sudden exclamation caused Elidor to drop the vial. The moment it hit the ground it shattered and covered the room in a thick blue mist.
“Now look what you’ve done, Elidor!” Mohan growled as the mist cleared.
Elidor went to glare at Mohan but suddenly found that Mohan was much bigger then him, like he grew or… “Guys, I think that potion shrank me.”
“First of all, that potion affected more then just you.” Elidor looked toward Shakira to see a small silver kitten with white ears sitting on Shakira’s blue dress. “Second; we weren’t shrunk, we were turned into kittens.” The silver kitten meowed.
“I don’t have my horn, hooves, or my wings anymore.” Whined a light blue kitten with a long blue mane sitting on Raedon’s clothes.
“This is hilarious.” Mohan laughed looking down at the three little kittens.
“How come Mohan wasn’t turned into a kitten too?” Elidor asked.
“Probably because he’s already a feline.” Shakira offered. “It most likely made the potion ineffective on him.”
At that Mohan laughed even harder and accidentally bumped one of the shelves causing a potion to fall. It landed and shattered on Mohan’s head. A small pink mist surrounded him. When it cleared there was a small orange parakeet with black stripes on its feathers standing on Mohan’s clothes. “Not a word.” He peeped angrily.
“So how do we change back?” Elidor asked, trying his hardest not to laugh.
“Usually potions like this have a time limit and will wear off in a few hours.” Shakira meowed her voice strained trying not to laugh. “We’ll most likely be better by some time tonight.”
“So we’re stuck as kittens and a parakeet for the rest of the day?” Raedon groaned.
  “Afraid so.” Shakira sighed.
Just then they heard the knob on the door turn. “Hide!” Elidor hissed. “And don’t forget your clothes.”
“I can’t move mine.” Mohan chirped.
Elidor quickly shoved his own clothes into a corner then darted across and shoved Mohan’s clothes under one of the shelves. He barely hid himself behind a shelf before the door opened. He didn’t look at who came in though; he was too busy sneaking out behind them, the others close on his tail.
As soon as they were out of the room they made a break down the hall away from it. When they finally stopped they were all panting.
“What do we do now?” Mohan asked.
“I’m going to get to my room and stay there till this wears off.” Elidor meowed. “I can’t let my parents catch me like this; I’d be grounded forever.”
“I have to agree with Elidor.” Shakira sighed. “It’s best you can be by yourself when you change back.”
“See you guys later.” Elidor meowed heading for his room.

When Elidor finally reached his room he found the door shut. How am I gonna get in now?” He wondered.
That’s when something suddenly lifted Elidor off the ground. “You’re a cute little kitten. What are you doing in front of Ely’s door?”
Oh no. Only one creature ever referred to Elidor as ‘Ely’. His twelve year old sister, Crystal.
“Come on kitty, Ely won’t like you around his room.” Crystal said, carrying Elidor away from the door.
“What, Crystal, put me down.” Elidor meowed, trying to squirm free.
Crystal stopped. “Kitty, did you just speak?” She asked turning Elidor so he was facing her. She was a dragoness of multiple shades of blue. She was wearing a bright pink shirt and purple skirt.
“It’s me, Elidor.” Elidor meowed. “I was turned into a kitten by a potion from the potion room.”
“ELY!” Crystal squealed excitedly, squeezing him tightly. “You’re the cutest kitten in the world. We’ve gotta show you to Ruby.”
No, not Ruby. Elidor thought, unable to speak through Crystal’s tight hug. Ruby was his other sister. She was also twelve years old, but she wasn’t like Crystal. She liked to pick on Elidor for being short, and she was a lot more headstrong then Crystal too.
Crystal ignored Elidor’s squirms of protest as she skipped excitedly down the corridor toward Ruby’s room.
When they got to Ruby’s room Crystal pushed open the door. Inside Ruby was lazily laying on her on her bed. Ruby was a red dragoness with a yellow underbelly and a dark red wing membrane. She had two pairs of white horns and orange frills on her head. She was wearing an orange shirt and a green skirt.
“Ruby, look, it’s Ely!” Crystal exclaimed, holding up Elidor for Ruby to see.
“You named a cat Ely?” Ruby asked, sitting up.
“No, Ely was turned into a cat by a potion.” Crystal explained.
“You’re kidding!” Ruby exclaimed as she jumped off her bed and came over to Crystal and Elidor. “Is that really you Elidor?” She asked looking Elidor in the eyes.
Elidor stayed quiet, hoping Ruby would just think that Crystal was having some fun.
“It is Elidor.” Ruby gasped. “He’s got the same annoyed stare he always gives.”
“How can you guess that by the way I’m looking at you?” Elidor hissed annoyed.
“Yep, that’s definitely Elidor.” Ruby grinned.
“Told you.” Crystal smiled. “Come on; let’s go show Daniel and Kazzi.” She turned to leave the room.
“No wait. “ Ruby said, stopping Crystal. “If we show them they’ll take him and who knows what they’ll do to him.”
Ruby’s trying to protect me? Elidor wondered, shocked.
“I mean, if they have him how can we play with him?” Ruby grinned evilly.

That's a nice one!

OMG I have a friend at school whose name is Ely! And his ideal dragon type is just as described! Weird...
